India Launches Net Zero Portal And Climate Action Dashboard
September 16, 2026 • National
India has launched the Net Zero Portal and the National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) Dashboard to strengthen climate action and track progress towards environmental goals. The platforms were introduced by Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Kirti Vardhan Singh during the World Ozone Day celebrations in Mumbai on 16 September 2026.
The Net Zero Portal allows companies and organisations to register their net-zero commitments, report greenhouse gas emissions and share their progress towards reducing them. The NAPCC Dashboard brings together information on India’s national climate missions, helping authorities monitor implementation and assess progress.
Together, these platforms aim to improve transparency, strengthen coordination and encourage organizations to take greater responsibility for climate action. They also support India’s long-term goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070.
