INS Nipun Joins Navy For Underwater Rescue Missions

INS Nipun has joined the Indian Navy to strengthen the country’s underwater rescue and submarine rescue capabilities. The vessel is equipped to support rescue operations involving submarines or personnel trapped underwater, providing an important safety and emergency-response capability for naval operations.
Its induction strengthens the Navy’s ability to respond quickly to underwater emergencies, particularly in challenging deep-sea conditions. The vessel will also support specialized diving, recovery and rescue tasks, adding to India’s preparedness for submarine-related incidents and other maritime emergencies.
