The Natural History Museum in Mizoram has been officially designated as India’s 21st Biological Repository under the Biological Diversity Act, 2002. The recognition authorizes the museum to preserve and maintain nationally important biological specimens, strengthening biodiversity conservation, scientific research, and the documentation of India's rich natural heritage.
