NASA Launches Roman Space Telescope To Explore The Universe
August 28, 2026 • Science & Tech
NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is set to transform the way scientists study the universe. Designed to observe vast regions of space with powerful infrared capabilities, the telescope will investigate some of astronomy’s biggest questions, including the nature of dark energy and dark matter, the formation and evolution of galaxies, and the search for planets beyond our solar system.
With a field of view far larger than that of the Hubble Space Telescope, Roman will be able to survey enormous areas of the sky and create detailed cosmic maps. Scientists also expect it to discover thousands of distant exoplanets and provide new insights into how planetary systems form.
