September 7, 2026 • Science & Tech
Bengaluru-based space-tech company Pixxel has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round, co-led by Singapore’s Temasek and UK-based Seraphim Space Investment Trust. The latest funding takes Pixxel’s total capital raised to $195 million and marks the largest single funding round raised by an Indian space-technology company.
Pixxel plans to use the fresh capital to expand beyond its original focus on hyperspectral satellite imaging and build a broader planetary infrastructure platform. Its plans include developing advanced sensing technologies, expanding the Honeybee satellite constellation, adding synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and ultra-high-resolution optical imaging, and strengthening its satellite manufacturing capabilities in India and the US.
The company will also further develop Aurora, its Earth-intelligence software platform, which combines data from different satellite sensors and converts it into decision-ready insights for governments, industries and institutions. Pixxel is also expanding its work on sovereign Earth-observation systems for commercial, civil, defence and intelligence applications.
