The Tripura State Mental Health Authority has issued show-cause notices to 19 rehabilitation centres and mental health facilities for allegedly operating without valid registration. The centers have been asked to explain their compliance with the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017, within seven days. The action aims to strengthen monitoring of rehabilitation facilities, ensure compliance with legal requirements and safeguard the rights and well-being of people receiving mental healthcare.
