Selection Process

The SSC Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2026 will consist of two papers. Paper-I is a Computer Based Examination with objective-type multiple choice questions, divided into two sections - General Hindi and General English - each carrying 100 marks with a sectional timer of 1 hour. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I. Based on performance in Paper-I, candidates will be shortlisted category-wise to appear in Paper-II, which is a descriptive paper testing translation and essay writing skills in both Hindi and English, carrying 200 marks. Marks scored in Paper-I will be normalized if the exam is held in multiple shifts. Tentative Answer Keys will be uploaded after the exam, and candidates can submit online representations within the given time on payment of ₹50 per question (non-refundable).
