Ahmedabad Hosts India’s First World Archery Para Series

Ahmedabad has hosted the Hyundai World Archery Para Series 2026, marking India’s first international World Archery Para Series event. The third stage of the inaugural series brought more than 100 para archers from 19 countries to the Sabarmati Riverfront.
Organised by the Archery Association of India (AAI) with support from the Gujarat government and sports authorities, the competition featured athletes across Recurve, Compound, W1 and Visually Impaired categories. The event provided para archers with opportunities to earn world ranking points and compete against leading international athletes.
India’s campaign was led by prominent para archers including Sheetal Devi, Rakesh Kumar, Toman Kumar and Harvinder Singh. Sheetal Devi, the reigning world champion, topped the compound women’s qualification in Ahmedabad with a score of 698, while Indian archers went on to secure six medals at the event.
