BRICS Chief Justices’ Forum To Be Held In New Delhi

The Supreme Court of India hosted the BRICS Chief Justices’ Forum in New Delhi from 4–6 September 2026, bringing together Chief Justices, Presidents of Supreme Courts and senior judicial representatives from BRICS member states and partner countries. The forum provided a platform for judicial leaders to exchange views and strengthen cooperation on contemporary legal and judicial issues.
The forum focused on four major areas: mediation and international commercial disputes, cross-border enforcement of arbitral awards, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the judiciary, and judicial leadership for sustainable development. These discussions addressed how courts can improve justice delivery, deal with international commercial disputes, use emerging technologies responsibly and contribute to sustainable development.
The forum also brought together representatives from BRICS member states and partner countries, including Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, South Africa, the UAE, Belarus, Bolivia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda and Uzbekistan.
