Former Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha has been appointed to head the Delhi Home Guards, taking over as its Director General (DG) from October 1, 2026. He has been appointed as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Delhi Home Guards ahead of assuming the DG post. Golcha, a senior IPS officer, served as Delhi Police Commissioner until July 2026. His new role will place him at the helm of the Delhi Home Guards, which supports the administration and police in maintaining public safety and assisting during emergencies and other civic duties. The appointment brings an experienced police administrator into a key role within Delhi’s public-safety framework.
