HDFC Bank has appointed former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar as its Part-Time Chairman for a three-year term, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals. He succeeds Atanu Chakraborty, whose tenure has concluded. Rajiv Kumar brings decades of experience in public administration, governance, and financial policymaking, having previously served as the Finance Secretary and Election Commissioner of India.
