The Tata Sons board has reappointed N. Chandrasekaran as Executive Chairman for another five-year term, extending his leadership beyond his current tenure, which ends in February 2027. The decision was approved by a majority vote at the board meeting held on 17 September 2026, ensuring leadership continuity at the holding company of the Tata Group. Chandrasekaran has led Tata Sons since 2017 and oversees a diversified business group spanning technology, automobiles, steel, aviation and other key sectors.
