NASA has awarded SpaceX a $946 million contract extension for three additional astronaut missions to the International Space Station (ISS), extending its crew transportation partnership through 2030. The agreement covers the Crew-15, Crew-16 and Crew-17 missions, including astronaut launches, in-orbit operations, return and recovery services, and cargo transportation. With this addition, SpaceX’s total number of NASA crew missions under the contract rises to 17, while the overall contract value reaches approximately $5.92 billion. The move aims to ensure continued astronaut access to the ISS and support regular crew rotations as NASA advances its commercial spaceflight programme.
