Astrophysicist Annapurni Subramaniam has received the 2026 COSPAR Vikram Sarabhai Medal for her work in space science. She is the first Indian woman to receive this honour and the fourth Indian overall. Her work in astronomy and her contribution to India’s AstroSat mission have earned her international recognition.
