Drydocks World and Cochin Shipyard Limited have signed a joint venture agreement to strengthen India’s ship repair industry. The partnership aims to develop world-class repair and maintenance facilities for commercial ships, offshore vessels, and other large marine assets. The new venture will combine the global expertise of Drydocks World with Cochin Shipyard’s shipbuilding and repair capabilities. It is expected to improve repair services, reduce turnaround time for vessels, create skilled employment, and support India’s goal of becoming a major maritime and ship repair hub.
