EPFO Raises Wage Ceiling To ₹25,000 For PF Coverage
September 17, 2026 • National
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has reportedly raised the mandatory wage ceiling for Provident Fund (PF) coverage to ₹25,000. If officially implemented, the revision could bring more salaried employees under the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) scheme, expanding access to retirement savings and social security benefits.
Under the EPF scheme, employees and employers contribute towards a fund that helps workers build long-term savings for retirement. A higher wage ceiling could extend these benefits to more employees and strengthen their financial security. However, the revised limit and its implementation details should be confirmed through an official government or EPFO notification before publication.
