Kerala is set to establish a Coconut Park with support from the Coconut Development Board to strengthen the state’s coconut-based economy and expand its presence in international markets. The proposed park will focus on coconut processing, value addition, packaging, branding and marketing, helping transform raw coconuts into higher-value products for domestic and global consumers. The initiative is expected to create a common ecosystem for entrepreneurs, processors and businesses involved in the coconut industry. By encouraging product development and modern processing, the park aims to promote premium-quality coconut products that can compete in international markets. It could also open up opportunities for investment, entrepreneurship and employment in the sector. The move comes as India’s coconut-product exports have been expanding. Coconut product exports reportedly reached ₹7,038.35 crore (US$794.70 million) in 2025–26, marking a 62% increase over the previous year.
