Indian Grandmaster Pranesh M emerged as the Group A champion at the Kanizsa Open 2026 in Nagykanizsa, Hungary. The 19-year-old finished the nine-round tournament with 7 points, remaining unbeaten throughout the event.
Pranesh began strongly with four consecutive wins and then secured four draws before defeating Germany’s Vadym Petrovskiy in the final round. Four players finished on 7 points, but Pranesh claimed the title on superior tiebreak scores.
