Tavengwa Mukuhlani, Chairman of Zimbabwe Cricket, has been appointed Deputy Chairperson of the International Cricket Council (ICC) until November 2027. Announced on 17 September 2026, the appointment makes him the first Zimbabwean to hold the position. He succeeds Imran Khwaja, who stepped down from the ICC Board. Mukuhlani brings extensive experience in cricket administration and has served on several ICC committees, including the Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee. His appointment strengthens Zimbabwe’s representation in international cricket governance and comes ahead of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, which Zimbabwe will co-host with South Africa and Namibia.
