Indian women’s doubles pair Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand won the bronze medal at the BWF World Championships. Their historic run ended in the semifinals against China’s world No. 1 pair Liu Sheng Shu and Tan Ning. The medal ended India’s 15-year wait for a women’s doubles World Championships medal and made Treesa and Gayatri only the second Indian women’s doubles pair to achieve the feat.
