Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has raised the reward for information leading to the arrest of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar to PKR 70 lakh, up from PKR 50 lakh. Azhar has also been included as a fugitive in the FIA’s 2026 Red Book of most-wanted terrorists.
The development comes ahead of the FATF’s October 2026 plenary, bringing renewed attention to Pakistan’s measures against terrorism and terror financing. Pakistan has maintained that Azhar is no longer in the country, while his exact whereabouts remain disputed.
