Akasa Air has operated India’s first commercial flight using 1% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The move marks a step towards using cleaner fuel in air travel and reducing the aviation sector’s carbon emissions. SAF is made from sustainable sources and can be blended with conventional aviation fuel for use in aircraft.
